Dear UBI partners,
Putin’s invasion began seven weeks ago today. Our hearts are still torn apart over what is happening in Ukraine, but we are grateful to be in a place where we can provide help and support. Thanks to the partnership of the Sopot Church of Christ and the tireless work of long-time missionaries, Molly and Annabelle Dawidow (we could not do this without them), we have been able to help care for over one hundred refugees with more still on their way.
Through the generous gifts made to Sunset’s Global Relief Ministry, as well donations made directly by other churches and individuals, we are providing beds, meals, laundry services, and many other basic needs. Everyone has been so thankful for the warm reception and help. One Christian sister from the city of Kharkov who is here with her daughter and two grandchildren sent me this note a few days ago:
Our family is very grateful to you and all the brothers and sisters who have taken part—and are taking part—in our family’s future. Words cannot express the well of emotions that overwhelm our hearts. Thanks to you, our children can sleep peacefully. They are clothed and they are fed. And we have been able to find some calm too. Although my soul continues to hurt over our motherland Ukraine, for all those who are still there, and for those who are laying down their lives for the freedom and independence of our country!
You have our deepest gratitude, and may God bless you! Give our thanks to all those people who have helped us and our children to be safe. To those who continue to help and pray for the people of Ukraine, for victory over the enemy, and that God will bless Ukrainians! Praise God for all of you who have helped us!
Computers for Students
One way we’ve been able to bless families who have come to Sopot is by providing school-age children with computers to use for their studies. Some of them are studying online with their schools in Ukraine and others are already in school here in Poland. These Chromebooks have given them important access to tools to keep up with their education.
Long-term Housing
We also continue to search for long-term housing for those who have chosen to stay here in this area. Because of the large number of refugees that have come to Poland, this has become more difficult than we had hoped. Thankfully God has provided. So far we have been able to find six apartments for multiple families.

About UBI Giving
Someone recently asked whether or not UBI still needs its regular support from its partners, or if the focus should now be solely on refugee help.
Without a doubt, the Ukrainian Bible Institute needs its financial partners now more than ever. Please do not stop sending your normal contributions to UBI. Not only do we continue to take care of our employees’ salaries during this time, but UBI is actively working to coordinate and provide help to Ukrainians both inside and outside Ukraine.
Your regular support for UBI is going directly toward providing humanitarian aid right now. By all means, send more funds to help Ukraine if you can, but please keep sending your regular support. If you have any questions about this, please send me a message.
Thank You
Thank you all for your continued partnership. The last seven weeks have been very difficult, but your emotional and financial support has allowed us to keep working. Your generosity is providing help and hope to so many people. We absolutely couldn't do this without you.
Also, my family and I will be leaving for the States on Saturday. We hope to be seeing some of you soon. If you’d like to read more about how we are doing personally, please see our latest update here.
Until next time,
Brandon Price
