Greetings, UBI Partners!
Summer is here, and most of the staff is enjoying a little downtime now that classes have finished and graduation is over. It was an unusual year for all of us, but it was a good year. We praise God for all the unexpected blessings we received despite the constant trials.
Graduation
We were very happy to be able to host a graduation ceremony this year. We honored our eight graduates from 2021 and also were joined by four of last year’s who didn’t get to have their own ceremony due to the pandemic.
It was such a blessing to celebrate together, and to share that celebration with other students, family members, and even some UBI alumni. Our graduates have worked hard, have grown so much, and have been very patient through the chaos of this last year.
Before our graduates left, we interviewed several of them about their experiences studying at UBI. I was very encouraged by what they shared, and I know you will be too.
Summer Travels
My family and I are currently in the States, traveling to visit UBI sponsors all over the country. This is the first time I’ve been able to meet many of these partners since taking over as director last summer.
Last week, we held a dinner for UBI friends in the DFW area. We talked about UBI’s past, shared about UBI’s present, and dreamed about UBI’s future. We were also joined by Jay Don and Mary Lee Rogers. It was a special evening, and I enjoyed getting to meet so many new people who love Ukraine so much.
Lord willing, we will return to Ukraine mid-August, and UBI’s 25th year is set to begin August 30th!
Prayer Requests
Please pray for our students who are spending their practicum with their home congregations this summer. We pray for their spiritual growth as well as kingdom growth through their work.
Please also pray for our incoming students. It is my personal prayer that we will have at least ten new students begin their studies this fall.
We also are looking forward to the return of our visiting teachers, many of whom are already making plans to be with us. We pray that they will in fact be able to come to Ukraine and bless our students with their physical presence!
Conclusion
We thank you so much for your committed love and support of the Ukrainian Bible Institute. Big things are happening in the Lord’s kingdom in Ukraine because of your care and sacrifice. Praise God for all he does through you!
Until next time,
Brandon Price
